Sarina Sechrist is a Mental Health Counselor with a passion for helping children and adults overcome personal obstacles that stand in the way of their maximum happiness. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She began her career working with adults who experienced adjustment, grief, mental health and relationship issues at an outpatient clinic. She then moved to Florida and began working with adolescents with emotional and behavioral concerns while simultaneously holding a faculty position in the Psychology Department at Miami-Dade College. While working with both adolescents and adults she utilizes a strengths-based approach focusing on each individual’s unique skills, empowering them to reach their optimum level of life satisfaction. She is passionate about evoking positive change in her clients’ lives regardless of the presenting obstacles.
