Sharon Glekel, MS
Many people experience different life stresses as they transition through their lives. My passion is to help lead people to create more stability in their lives and their relationships. I have worked with children, adults, and families to find healthy ways to rebuild healthy communities and to find healthy perceptions of themselves to help strengthen relationships within themselves and their family dynamic.
Through my years of practice I have come to recognize there is no single approach or right way for every individual, so I practice many modalities including Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic approach to treatment.
My educational background includes a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. I have my BA in Psychology from Rutgers University. I have been working in mental health for the past 12 years, within a vast array of different domains of the field. For the past 4 years, I have been in the field of drug and alcohol addiction, working at rehabilitation facilities to help clients rebuild their sense of self and mend broken relationships
