Amy Weitz, MS, MFT
Amy Weitz received her BS in Psychology at Long Island University and her MS Marriage and Family Therapy from Carlos Albizu University in Miami. She brings 15+ years of experience to the behavioral health field working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. Amy specializes in anxiety, depression, marital issues, trauma, domestic violence, and substance abuse related issues. She has worked in multiple substance abuse facilities, hospitals, residential programs, and women’s shelters. Amy is also a certified family mediator by the state of Florida and has assisted multiple couples in resolving disagreements, separations, and divorce. She is trained in the Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR), 12 steps and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her patients develop healthy coping mechanisms and replace destructive behaviors.
