Cheryl Cohen, MS, LMFT
My name is Cheryl Chelminsky-Cohen and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy In 2003. Additionally, I became an LMFT in 2005.
I began my career working with couples and families but soon found an additional passion for working with troubled adolescents between the ages of 11 and 18. My years of experience have allowed me to further understand the importance of communication and self-worth whether it relates to yourself, school, work, friends, family, or marriage. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, and family issues amongst children, adolescents, couples, and families. I use the cognitive behavioral treatment modality where I will replace negative thoughts with positivity and optimism by building on your existing strengths.
I look forward to my therapeutic journey with you. I will create a comfortable space for you to express yourself freely without judgement. I strive to achieve my goal of positively impacting my client’s lives to help them create the best version of themselves.
