Yuleisis Mendez, MS, IMH

Ms. Mendez completed her master’s degree in psychology, majoring in Mental Health Counseling at Carlos Albizu University, Miami, Florida. She is currently a registered mental health counselor intern in Florida dedicated to helping individuals, families, and couples navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. With over five years of experience, she specializes in supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-image issues, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties.

Her approach focuses on practical problem-solving skills, empowering clients to overcome problems, build healthier patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives, with a variety of tools in her bag, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Her goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where healing and growth can occur.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a little on the right hand corner, and put a bit more purple along the base, and use a little more pink in the cloud color.” I don’t do that. I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch it with awe as it unfolds.”
