Why Weekly Couples Therapy Works Better Than Monthly

When couples come to therapy only once or twice a month, progress can be slow — and sometimes, it feels like starting over each session. Why? Because relationship patterns are deeply ingrained. Real change takes consistent work.

Weekly sessions allow us to build momentum, address issues while they’re still fresh, and create real emotional safety between partners. It’s like going to the gym: once a month won’t get you the results you want. Weekly work creates real, lasting change.

At my South Florida practice, I specialize in marriage counselingconflict resolution, and emotional reconnection using methods like Imago TherapyThe Gottman Method, and Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy.

Whether you’re dealing with infidelity, communication breakdowns, or feeling like roommates instead of partners, consistent sessions help:

• Identify patterns quickly

• Stay accountable between sessions

• Rebuild trust, step by step

If therapy is important enough to start, it’s worth committing to weekly — at least in the beginning. Most of my most successful couples started that way and then tapered down once things improved.

I offer sessions in Aventura, Naples, Miami Beach, Boca Raton, Doral, as well as online throughout Florida.
